About ATD Management

ATD provides management of business, trade, and professional  associations to assist in anticipating and meeting members’ needs. We  provide the office, support staff and necessary equipment to  keep abreast of daily operations. ATD’s services provide an accountability often overlooked by volunteers who are busy with their families and careers.

We effectively become the office for an organization, allowing them to utilize our resources.

 ATD Management, Inc., a California Corporation based in Southern   California since 1993, provides services throughout the U.S. and Canada. 


 ATD Management is a member of ASAE and IATA and can manage your association, plan your events, select venues, negotiate contracts and be your on-site contact from start to finish. 

What is an Association Management Company?

 Association Management Companies (AMCs) provide expert leadership  services to professional societies and trade associations. An AMC serves  as your headquarters and can completely staff your association, leaving  your Board of Directors free to focus on the mission of your  organization. We employ experts in all aspects of association  activities. Our experts become your staff; our office becomes your  office. The AMC worries about payroll and employee management; when to  order new equipment; and provides your board with the latest in  association best practices. The AMC is responsible to your Board of  Directors and becomes your partner in accomplishing the success of your  association.

Event Planning


Full turn-key event planning and coordination is one of our specialties. We organize events for associations, including:

Overseeing pre-event details such as venue scouting, site inspections, contract negotiations, menu planning and on-site coordination, helps take the burden off the hands of your Board and committees. We manage all of the logistics of the conference or event, and act as the liaison between the Board of Directors and the venue and association members.

Our office staff will provide the registration materials for your attendees and guide them through the process from registration to check-in.

Our goal is to have your attendees walk away from the meeting with a  different experience. Not only gaining new contacts to build business  relationships, obtain important technical information, but enjoy the  conference and look forward to the next one because it wasn't the usual  meeting. 


Site Selection/Contract & Consultation Services


If your needs are limited to site selection for your conference, ATD provides no-charge site selection               services to our association clients. We research hotels and other meetings venues that match the criteria chosen by the Board of Directors or meeting planner.

Not only is site selection and contract negotiations part of the many services we offer our regular associations, we can offer those services as a single service for groups. Many associations who  have a full time in-house staff still need the services of an  association management company. These associations are in need of  assistance with RFP’s, site selection, and contract negotiations to  secure the best location for their group at the right price. Often, there is no cost to the organization for this service.

We can consult with many organizations on expenditures related to hosting a conference. After reviewing past contracts and hotel invoicing, we often find many areas where funds are being wasted that can be used to offer more member benefits and secure more organization finances.

Some organizations/government agencies hire us simply to provide conference planning, site selection and event services for annual or bi-annual conferences.
